Hollywood television and film actor Pat Finn passed away at the age of 60, leaving behind a respected body of work and many lasting professional relationships. According to family statements shared with media outlets, he died peacefully at his home in Los Angeles, surrounded by loved ones. A native of Illinois, Finn had been managing a long-term health condition privately while remaining closely connected to family and friends. News of his passing prompted heartfelt messages from colleagues across the entertainment community.

Finn was widely recognized for his recurring role as Bill Norwood on the ABC sitcom The Middle, where he appeared between 2011 and 2018. His character was known for adding warmth and light humor as a friendly neighbor and dependable presence. Beyond that series, he made guest appearances on well-known shows including Friends, Seinfeld, Murphy Brown, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Ed, and The George Wendt Show, demonstrating his range and consistency across many years of television.

Raised in Wilmette, Illinois, Finn graduated from Marquette University in 1987, where he developed a close friendship with comedian Chris Farley. During that time, they were roommates and teammates on the university’s rugby team before continuing their creative paths in comedy. Finn later joined The Second City National Touring Company, an experience that strengthened his improvisational skills and helped launch his television career. His talent for character-driven comedy made him a dependable choice for sitcom roles.

In addition to television, Finn appeared in several feature films, including The Bachelor, Dude, Where’s My Car?, How High, and I Love You, Beth Cooper. His final on-screen appearance was in the 2021 romantic comedy Funny Thing About Love. He is survived by his wife, Donna, and their two children, Cassidy and Caitlin. Remembered as kind, generous, and genuinely funny, Finn left a meaningful legacy through both his work and the many people whose lives he touched.
