Posted on April 21, 2026 By admin

Former U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, 84, is receiving medical care in Luxembourg after sustaining an injury while attending a diplomatic event, according to her office. The longtime Democratic leader was visiting Europe as part of a bipartisan congressional delegation marking the anniversary of a significant World War II milestone.

The visit coincided with commemorations of the Battle of the Bulge, an event that continues to represent cooperation and shared history between the United States and its European allies. Pelosi joined fellow officials in ceremonies honoring those who served, highlighting the importance of international partnerships.

Her spokesperson, Ian Krager, confirmed that she “sustained an injury during an official engagement” and is currently being evaluated and treated by medical professionals. While specific details have not been fully disclosed, reports indicate the injury may have occurred during the event.

Witnesses described the situation as unexpected but handled promptly. According to individuals present, Pelosi appeared to lose her footing near a memorial area and was assisted by security and medical personnel on site. Additional updates on her condition are expected as medical evaluations continue.
