Spray guns require special care to ensure that you spread the paint evenly. When you swing the sprayer back and forth in an arc, you have a thicker coating in the center of the arc and a thinner coating on each end. Instead, you need to move the gun from side to side in a smooth motion, keeping the nozzle the same distance from the surface to be painted.
